Nursery

We have the nursery all ready for the little guy. By the way, I don't think I ever said that we finally decided on his name: Graydon Xavier Beckham! We love his initials, GXB. We'll probably use Gray as a nickname too.
We are now ready for him to come, but he's being stubborn! After 6 weeks of bed rest to keep him in, and now we're ready for him to come out, and he's just fine chillin' inside. So now I wait just like every other pregnant lady who has ever been. Let me just say, it's getting hot here in Texas. But I'm enjoying everyday activities again...cooking, cleaning, gardening, exercising (to try to bring on labor), and endless errands!

Anyway, Xavier worked so hard on the nursery! He painted it blue and put up the darling white beadboard wainscoting. He's a perfectionist and it took forever, but it looks like a professional did it. I love it.

My mom sewed all of the bedding and she did a fabulous job! I couldn't find anything in the stores that I liked, so we found this cute vintage circus toile fabric and created our own bedding. She spent many long hours and I am very appreciative of her fine work!

My sister in law Kendra made the adorable matching quilt that goes with all of the bedding. I love, love it and think she did a fabulous job! She even hand-stitched Graydon's initials in the bottom corner. So cute!
Whoa...when did my belly get so big! It doesn't look quite that large from my everyday view from up above.

So a big thanks to everyone who made the nursery just what I wanted! I did have a small part in it. I sewed the cushions for the rocking chair, which was a two year project! Now...we just need a baby to go along with it!

Great job! I can appreciate the work that went into the bedding. (My mom and I made the bedding for my crib...although I didn't finish the quilt until Matthew was 2.)

You look great!

Wow. That looks beautiful! I love the way everything turned out. Has that baby flipped yet?! I hope so. I will come by this week to give you the swing. Sorry I haven't gotten it to you yet. Oh, and the Stephenie Meyer book signing thing was really cool. I just finished The Host. It was really good.

Em, it's darling!! I'm so impressed. It truly looks like something out of a magazine (as does the rest of your home!). Nicely done. You'll really enjoy your time in there. :)
