Graydon is Here!

We know that most of you have gotten this memo already, but our sweet little baby has finally arrived! He's a week and a half already and has changed so much in just 10 days. We just haven't found the time to post with all that has been going on.


He was born on Friday, May 30th at 4:58 pm. We went into the hospital that morning for an induction because mommy's body was doing everything it needed to to bring him here (even regular contractions), but it just wasn't quite enough...enter stage right pitocin! After an hour of pushing he officially joined our family.



He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz, and was 19.25 inches tall. He has dark hair like mommy, which shocked us all. We can't tell what color his eyes are yet, but we're hoping for daddy's green eyes. He got mommy's lips and nose. He still looks like a good split between the two of us. Sometimes you see more Hall, and others more Beckham.

He has a sweet natural part in his hair right up by his hairline. Several people have asked if we parted it that way on purpose. Let me see, no, we did not make the effort to make a 1 cm part in our 2 day old's bangs! So when his hair grows out he'll probably have a little wave in his bangs in the front. It makes us laugh. You can see the part in this picture.

So far since we've been home we've done pretty well. We're tired, of course, and trying to get into the swing of things. Daddy has been home this past week and mommy loved every minute of it. So anyone who is in the DFW area is welcome to come visit this coming week so that I won't be home alone all day!
We love this picture, as it shows how chubby his cheeks are! An almost perfectly square face with rounded corners and a little triangle chin! We know we're biased, but we think he's perfect!
