Being the fan that I am, I went last night with some fellow fans to see "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." Like every Harry Potter movie, there are things that I don't like about the way the director portrayed them. The biggest one in this movie (albeit unimportant and small)? He dressed Aunt Petunia in the shortest, skimpiest dress possible that totally didn't fit her personality. You'll know what I'm talking about. And where did Harry's shaggy 'do go?But all in all, despite the sad ending, I think they did a great job! Can't wait for the last book.

How fun Em! I can't wait, we're going to see it tonight. Was it good? Oh, and can't wait for the book either. I hope she doesn't kill Harry off.
I have to admit, not only have I never read a single HP book, I've never seen any of the movies (without falling asleep while babysitting the Harveys) either. I'm glad you liked it though! Does X get in to HP? For me, it right up there with Lord of the BORings & Pirates of the Caribbean .... maybe it's a fantasy thing that I can't get into? Who knows. I know I'm in the minority here. (I didn't even know there was a HP movie coming out!!)
I can't wait to see it!!!! And you! I'll be home in about 2 weeks!
Em - I thought it was really good. It's a sad book though, so the movie is kind of sad. But overall I really liked it. But I'm always a bit biased because I'll go for the book over the movie any day.
J - Seriously dawg, just read them. I was once like you and thought that HP was stupid and just for kids or people who like to sword fight on the lawn by the Wilk, but I've converted a lot of people. But as I recall, you don't like reading for fun. How can we be the "same" if you don't even like Lord of the Rings? Remember waking up at 3 am and telling me to turn of the light and go to bed? ha ha!
Tara - Ditto! Can't wait until you come too! We can read the 7th one together.
Em -
I remember those medival people sword fighting on the lawn! They cracked me up. Oh, the memories.
Janette -
You do just need to read at least the first book. Chris hates reading and he got into them. It's better then Lord of the BORings (I couldn't stop laughing after I read that)
I went with Emily last night, and for the first time realized that I'm almost, but not quite, a Harry Potter fanatic. I've never been fanatic about anything. But with HP I pre-order the books and read them the day they come, I speculate about what is going to happen in the next book, I love to talk with others about what they think will happen, I read up on the actors lives. I don't check the official web sites though, that's where I draw the line! Is it July 21st yet...
