Plano 8th Ward Saints Softball Team - July 2007For the past two years X has been playing on a softball league with guys from our church. The team has evolved and changed players through the times, but X continues to have fun with it and I enjoy being able to sit with my girlfriends as we cheer our husbands on (that is, if we are watching!)
I decided that since he's been playing for a while, I should probably get some photos.
X's batting stance has evolved from his old cricket days in New Zealand and are finally becoming more "baseball-ish" but still holds a few cricket vestiges.
And he's running for home...where he will inevitably slide...and add to his collection of perpetual scabs and "owies" (as Ethan calls them) on his knees. He likes to find every excuse to slide, dive, jump, and roll during the game. It's pretty amusing actually.
I'm glad you are able to play some sports with fellow sweaty friends and let out any pent-up manly emotions that you may have! Game well played my darling!

Matthew played on a softball team this last year too with a bunch of his friends. So, it totally made me laugh when you said "if I was watching". All of us wives would sit there and gab-gab-gab and then let a cheer out here and there to let them know we were still "watching".
