First Day of Preschool

Graydon started a little preschool last week! It's 2 days a week on Monday and Wednesday in the morning. This is a picture from the first day. He was excited to go! The jacket wasn't really necessary, but it was pouring down rain and he thought he needed it.

I have to make mention of the silver shoes here. We took him to get some school-sanctioned closed-toed shoes. We picked out some awesome old-school Adidas shoes for him, but would he even let us put them on? No! He saw this black and silver running shoes and would have nothing else! He wouldn't let us take them off to buy them or for his nap later that day. He likes to go for runs around the block with dad in their "running shoes" (and don't worry, he actually runs the whole time). So while metallic shoes weren't our first choice, they definitely were his. I had no idea a 2-year-old boy cared so much about what he wore!


He wanted a picture of his backpack. He did so good. He didn't cry at all, but when I left him, I cried my eyes out! He's not a huge fan of my leaving, but after 30 seconds he's good and the teachers call him the "happiest kid" they have and call him a "great listener." Um...okay. Not so much great listening going on at home, but whatever!
