Happy Summer

Welcome to our long, long summer post! We've had a lot of fun and want to share some of it.

Graydon has discovered Thomas the Tank Engines and Friends, so he now LOVES trains. So we rode the DART (Dallas' public train) to Uptown and jumped on the historic M-Line Trolley. It was so hot, but Graydon's apparent love and joy of being on a train was worth it.

Here is one of the ancient trolleys, Rosie, with her also ancient conductor, who was so nice!
I had to include this picture to show Graydon's face. He was fascinated with the conductor, but was also a bit weary...

In Frisco they have an awesome fire station that does a kids night on the weekend. After attending a "Safety Class," you are free to roam around their adorable miniature town. There are roads, complete with stop signs, traffic lights, even a toll both. There are mini house, a mini Wal-Mart, post office, etc.
Friday night was bike night and Graydon was so excited, to bad the poor kid has to straddle the cross bar to reach the pedals. It's a good thing he has such a terrific dad who pushed him all around this place, while obeying traffic rules, of course.

We can't wait until he can ride a bike on his own!

Family photo to let you know I do exist, look lovely and plump at 19 weeks. I'm just the one always behind the camera.

Graydon has been a mamma's boy lately and while at home I hear "hold you mama" all the time. But when he's as cute as he is, I don't mind.

Graydon loves to help cook, although we are still working on him helping to clean up.

Graydon loves to play in his "sand boat" while wearing his "boops."

He found my cowboy hat that I bought in high school (why did I buy it? I have no idea. I've never used it except for costume!). We were cracking up when he came out of his room with this hat on riding his bike. We did not pose this photo. The boy is just a character all of his own!

The "pop-eye" or "stink-eye" is still alive and kicking, especially outside in the bright sunny day. I love the cows' toshes all in a row. He has entered the stage where he likes to put things in a row.
We've enjoyed the local Rough Riders (a minor league baseball team). We got the "grass seats" where you sit on the grass at the back of the field. We figured our little motor would enjoy running around on the grass instead of sitting in a seat.
He loved watching the game and the kids around him playing.
Look at how cool and cute this place is?
Last month X did another triathlon, the Denison Dash, which he did two years ago. While he was out working hard, this is what Graydon and I did while waiting. Check out the ghetto swing "seat belt."

Here's the man running through the transition getting ready for the ride. He had just finished the swim.

And this is the best picture I got of him on the bike. He came whizzing in too fast!

And the same awesome quality in another picture. I can say X was just too fast, or maybe I was struggling with a 2 year old and a camera in my arms.

I'm glad Graydon has his priorities straight.

Look at how cute Graydon is being, helping his papa! Graydon wants to do EVERYTHING that X does.
X did awesome! He got 18th place overall and 4th place in his age group. Yay for him. We look forward to your next one Daddy.

I love him - Graydon, I mean. Seriously, love all these pictures. He just keeps getting cuter and cuter!
And nice job X on the races. And glad you are taking some time off from racing Emily. No doubt you'll be right back at it the minute Baby Boy arrives! :)
