NYC

I love NYC! Two weeks ago I went to New York City for a little business trip. I'm working on a deal in Brooklyn, and every property needs to be inspected, so I thought, "this is an inspection I can definitely volunteer for!" I had never been to NY before, so I thought this was a good chance!

So it was a quick whirlwind...I didn't get a chance to meet any friends because I was with two co-workers the whole time. But I had a blast! We ate fabulous food, roamed around Times Square at night, and laughed a lot. It felt good to do that with girls. I was only gone one night, so I didn't feel too guilty leaving the boys at home (although I bawled like a baby leaving Graydon!)

The next day we took a double-decker tour bus. I know, totally touristy, but hey, I am a tourist.
I totally got emotional about the Sept 11th attacks. The site itself is completely under construction and the most I saw was corrugated steel! But the displays I saw were very moving, especially this one with a fireman's jacket covered with badges from FD all over the world (especially with a new Fireman brother!)

My top 3 experiences (in no particular order):
1. My early morning jog in Central Park (you always see people doing it in the movies, so I thought I should join in!)
2. My visit to the Manhatten LDS Temple (they let me inside in jeans! woo hoo!)
3. The view of Central Park and the city from our 60th floor corporate office! Wow, that made me feel like a speck of dust in the midst of it all!

I want to go back soon. I'm jealous of all those cool people who get to live there and experience it all the time. I only took five pictures, and the one above is pretty much the only one with me in it!
