MoTab

In the last few years I have come to really love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Either I've changed, or they are not as nerdy as I thought they were (probably both!). On Saturday they were in Oklahoma, the OU Sooner Campus to be exact, and I couldn't miss the opportunity to go see them.

My sisters-in law Kendra and Kristy, my friend Stephanie, and I drove up to see them. It was fabulous! We went early to visit the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. It was beautifully done. Very peaceful; but you can't help but be so saddened by what happened, especially since so many children were involved. (Two bombing memorials in one week! It's a new record for me! No more please.)

The concert was phenomenal. They are so good. I have always been moved by good music, and their singing is close to perfection! The only weird thing about the concert: it was in a basketball arena and they were selling concessions. Some chicks walks through a row of chair with 3 ice cream cones! Um, what? Oh well.

I think we talked non-stop the whole way up...and the whole way back. My throat was all itchy and scratchy from talking and laughing so much. I wouldn't trade a second of my days with my two boys for anything, but sharing a bit of time with some good girlfriends feels just right too! I don't think X and Graydon could have carried a one-hour conversation with me all about Jon and Kate + 8!

You're cute as ever and turning into quite the little athlete with all of your races. And I'm thinking it was almost exactly 7 years ago that we were hiding in a small bedroom in Mexico chowing down on water and chocolate cake mix and thinking nothing had ever tasted so good! I love memories!
