The title of this post is a comment we get a lot from strangers...and friends. Which perplexes us because are child is under the 10th percentile for height and weight. Yet people keep saying how "he sure doesn't go hungry." Um, thanks for calling my kid fat or something. It's gotta be the cheeks.
But it's also true, he doesn't skip a meal. This little ball of fire must have a fantastic metabolism because he does eat A LOT. He has started demanding to feed himself. Which turns into this:

Making sure to get the very last drop!

Pure self-satisfaction

I know that for some stupid reason you sometimes can't enlarge the pictures on my blog, but I hope that you can see the refried beans smeared ALL OVER HIS FACE. His eyebrows were loaded with beans! This is a look of dismay because he rubbed it in his eyes "Um, hello, Mom? Help me get the beans out of my eyes instead of taking a picture of it!"

And here he is, mid-clap, sitting on the edge of a basket I made (Yes, I took basket-weaving in college. No, it wasn't underwater. Yes, I actually really liked it. Who wouldn't like a 3-credit hour, once a week class, where you learn how to make basket? I had to take a certain amount of credit to keep a scholarship, and this was better than loading on a hard class!)

So funny! I can't believe he's already eating on his own. I know he's 10 months, but it just doesn't seem possible. Time has gone by so quickly!
We get that all the time too! I don't think Zach is fat, and he's not over the charts at all. You're right. It's the cheeks. So cute!
That's too funny! It must be those cheeks! ;)
He's so adorable!
Recently my aunt saw Nora and said, "Wow, you're solid oak." We laughed, but truthfully she is in the same percentile for height and weight (30th), so I know it's the cheeks. Gotta love the cheeks (an boy do I love Graydon's cheeks!)
I know why you can't enalarge your photos. I discovered this a while ago, and it has been the best little secret I ever taught myself. Only it's not a secret. The key is, when you upload your pics and they appear on blogger, you have to leave them in the original order that they arrive in. Once you click and drag the photos to be in a different order, they no longer are "clickable." Sometimes I move them anyway if I really want them to be in a certain order, sometimes I take way too long figuring out the order I should browse and upload everything, and sometimes i just leave them all out of order if i think they're still clickable worthy.
Anyway, that's what always worked for me. I hope that helps your clicking dilemna!
Heck yeah! 'Atta boy! I love this guy! Hopefully we'll get to hang if we come down to TX for an internship. And yeah, I wish I could take a 3-credit-hour basket weaving class and have it count towards my MBA. Can you imagine the job interview where they are looking at my transcripts and they ask me, "So, which of all your classes was the most impactful?" I know how I would respond.
What a CUTIE! I loved catching up on your blog and checking out all the photos! He definitely seems like a busy bee, a very cute one!
Hey Emily! Graydon is such a handsome little one!! It's gotta be his cheeks. Sounds like the cheeks might run on the Hall side? I remember my PEDIATRICIAN commenting about Erin being "scrawny". I told Tony the doc must not have gotten a good look at her thighs because they were {are} on the plump side. Everyone has their own idea of what "not missing a meal" looks like. I'd be tickled to have a little boy as adorable as Graydon. : )
He is so so cute, Em! It was great seeing you last week! xoxo.
