I have a new best friend. It comes in the form of a Swiffer Sweeper X-Large. After seeing how my child's shirt was picking up specks of dust from crawling around on the tile, I knew I needed a better solution to cleaning my floors.
So I'm probably the last person to get one, but I'm in love. The easy maneuverability and weightlessness of this creatures are unparalleled. It normally takes me at least 20 minutes to sweep our entire tile area (foyer, kitchen, pantry, laundry room, dining). This morning with my new best friend? Only about 4 minutes. It's a thing of beauty.
I normally am cynical about commercials claiming to have the best products. But I'm a believer now. So even when my old broom starts singing, "baby come back" and a bad bouquet of flowers shows on my doorstep, I'm not going back!
Can't wait to see what the mopping capabilities are (okay...I can wait...I'm not that eager to mop). Ladies, treat yourselves to something nice, and go get yourself one!
p.s. the duster rocks too.

I totally agree, Emily! It is great for all of the hardwood floors in our home. But, be sure to keep your broom for when he gets older and leave crumb messes everywhere!

Em, I loved this post! I too, am a believer. You had me busting up when you mentioned the "baby come back" song and the dead bouquet of flowers. LOL!! I never mopped so much in my own home, but now that I live in a house with nearly-white tile, I too was desperate for an easier way. I love Swiffer!!
