Hamming it up for the camera

I've been meaning to put some cute sonogram pictures up...and since these are over a month old, I guess that means I'm the world's worst blogger. But my sister has been dying to see these and I happen to think they are some pretty funny shots!

The sonographer was shocked at how active he was during the sonogram and was amazed at some of his positions. Take the below pike position for example. He has ample room to spread out and swim, but instead, he prefers the curled up diver's position. I love his straight little legs with his toes curled around his head! The below shot proves that he will be able to wear flip flops (or jandals in NZ lingo), which makes his papa so proud! Check out the space between the big toe and the rest of the toes!
We were watching his hand open and close really fast and the sonographer was able to snap a picture of his hand wide open. The phalanges are looking good.
And saving the best for last...look at his cute profile. But that's not all to the picture. Look up at the top of the profile...is it a bird?...a plane? No it would be the BOTTOM of his foot. How did it get up there you ask? We don't know, but it cracked us up.I have a feeling this baby is going to be an active one, just like his papa!

I love those fun ultrasound pictures! I'm so excited for you guys. It's amazing how your feelings change after seeing your little one inside of you. After we first saw Sofia, it was amazing how she instantly felt like she was part of our family even though she didn't actually come out for several months.

In answer to your question about the classes I teach; have you heard of Les Mills? I teach Bodystep, which is a cardio step class. Les Mills actually comes out of New Zealand. I got certified in November, and I've been loving it. Good for you doing yoga! It is kind of frustrating when you can't do the same things you could before a pregnant belly!

Emily! So I was just going through your whole blog (whilst putting off a very urgent paper due yesterday...)

We are due the same day! That's pretty cool, says I. Congrats on your little tyke! Boys first are best, I think. I, too, had Christian pegged as a mini-me and was pretty surprised by his manhood. Needless to say he's been the perfect baby and I can imagine having him be a girl.

Yay for babies! :P
