Our Big Announcement of 2008

So I know this won't be hot-off-the-press news for some of you, but we're finally expecting!
Yipee! We're really excited about becoming parents and with each passing week it becomes more and more real for us. I am 18 weeks along and am feeling pretty good, besides being exhausted, getting headaches, and getting dumber everyday. We (the baby and I) are both in perfect health and everything looks great.
We found out last week (and as you can see above!!) we are having a boy! X was thrilled about that, as we know every dad wants a boy to throw the football with. After I realized that I had been "channeling" pink mentally and had already planned the nursery all in pink hues, I got over it and am really excited to be having a boy. Janette claims that they are easier than girls, so I'm holding out for that!
I love this picture of his cute little arm and fingers! He is due June 6th, so in the meantime I'll just keep working. It's been really fun to start planning things out and to start thinking baby-minded. We feel really blessed to be expecting this little guy and we'll keep you up to date with any news!
p.s. sorry if these sonograms freak anyone out. I know they sometimes look weird, but I think they're cute, but I know I'm biased.

Congratulations Em! He looks so cute. I love ultrasound pictures. In PR they give you an ultrasound every time you go in for an appointment (strange I know) so I have a whole stack of pictures. It's fun to see what they're doing inside your tummy. I'm so excited for you Em.

Yea! Congratulations! He does look adorable! :) And as a mom of both sexes, I believe girls are easier, but boys are just so much fun because they're tougher and you can wrestle and roar like big animals together. Great times are in your future! Now....where are the prego pictures of you!? You know we expect them monthly to track your growing progress. :)
