Bake It Like Beckham

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! We hope you enjoyed the holiday because we sure did. It was quiet and nothing extraordinary happened...just the way we like it. We continued with our tradition of making homemade donuts on Christmas Eve:
First, you've got to mix the batter up
Then you knead (note to self: take ring off next time)
Then you roll it
And cut out the donut shapes (big jar lid ring and water bottle cap for cutters)
And fry it (yes, there's a donut in there, you just can't see it under the sea of oil bubbles)
And glaze it
And waa-laa, you have a bucket full of donuts to enjoy.
I have to be honest here, X did most of the work. As his once a year binge on "bad food" I suppose he wanted to be as involved as possible.
We hope that everybody had a good Christmas! We love you!

waa laa?! I don't think it would be quite that kind of an experience for me! Not sure if I can handle donuts yet, but they sure look good! What a fun tradition.

Mmmmm. They were so yummy. We accidentally left the donuts we took home in the car. When we got in the car the next morning Ethan said, "Mom our car smells GOOD!" He was right, and we ate the donuts on the way to urgent care (Nora's ear infection).
