Happy Lion King!

When X's parents were still here a couple of weeks ago we all went to see the musical "The Lion King." Tara and I had both seen it already, but that didn't damper our excitement at all. We LOVED it! For those of you who have seen it, the beginning part when all the animals are coming out always gets me choked up. I know, I must be a wuss or something. But "The Circle of Life" playing in the background is a good excuse, right? At least Tara cried too; that made me feel better!

The musical was held at the normal music hall on the fairgrounds and it happened to be during the Texas State Fair. We didn't have time to sample their variety of fried things, including fried twinkies, fried coke, and fried anything-else-that's-nasty! Yuck! Please tell me none of you have tried any of those nasties.

The fried food makes my stomach churn too. Julie and I bought a "fried Snickers" at "Taste of Addison" while I was pregnant. It wasn't good at all. Neither one of us liked it .... between the two of us, AND Gary, we still threw away 1/2 of it. AND I WAS PREGNANT!! Pregnant chicks don't refuse food. No es bueno.

I would LOVE to "Lion King". Glad you got to go and I'm sure I would have cried, too!

Ha Ha! Chris and I so have tried the fried scene! Some good, others really yucky (like fried coke). I wish I would have come with you or at least seen Lion King!! Oh well.
