We forgot our camera, so you have to bare with the camera phone shots that we took. It was amazing to see them setting the balloons out, blowing them up, then just like that, they were in the air and flying away.
I felt like a little kid clapping and cheering when each one took off! Here are a few shots of the specialty balloons.
There's a tree with parrots behind the Energizer bunny. I know you can't tell from the picture, but the cow was HUGE, utters and all! We were shocked that it would even fly! The other cool thing that we discovered at the festival was the Kashi stand. They were teaching yoga and handing out cold cereal with milk for samples! We loved it. While other stands were giving out fries, funnel cake, and corn dogs, Kashi was giving out healthy cold cereal! It was our kind of stand!
Friday night we went to the Lovejoy football game. Lovejoy is a small, new school district made up of Allen/Lucas/Fairview area. I think the whole town showed up for the game as there was standing room only for half the crowd. X and the other PT at his clinic are apart of the medical staff for the athletic department, so they're supposed to attend the games. It was fun to go and to remember high school days. I felt a little awkward following the medical staff along the sidelines for the whole game, so next time I'll have a better game plan.
That's it for news from us!

Ryan and Claire LOVED the "laloons!" I love seeing them scattered throughout the sky every year. I love this area!
Looks like you've had a fun filled past few weeks! I've never been to Nauvoo but I would so love to and now especially if I was able to see old men doing some high kicks! I think I have a vague memory of going to a balloon show back when we used to live in Plano (when I was like 5)...it must be quite a site! Bytheway, you look like such a natural doing that model turn!
Emily! I hope you dont mind that I stumbled upon your blog. Its been so long since I have seen you. This posting has made me homesick for Plano, surprisingly. Well, I would love to keep in touch and feel free to email me at lmidgley@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Lisa Midgley
