X and I went up to Baltimore, Maryland for an Award Dinner for the company I work with on Monday, the 13th. We are owned by a parent bank that is based in Baltimore, and every year they have what they call "The Pride Award." I was nominated for our department this year and won! How cool is that? I never win anything! The only other "prize" I've ever received was when I won a penmanship award in 3rd grade. All I got then was a piece of paper!
They had a really nice dinner at The Walters Art Museum that we were able to attend. We were able to roam through parts of the museum and see a Courbet exhibit. The food was divine! Most of the employees and attendees were from Maryland, Delaware, or Virginia, so it was a novelty to have someone all the way from good 'ole Texas. It was a quick trip. X had school Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon, so he barely made it there for the dinner Monday night! Needless to say, we were exhausted when we finally got home, but it was a lot of fun.

Hey, congratulations! That's pretty impressive....those days at the dean's office must have taught you something, right? (wink, wink). And cool that you got to go to Baltimore!
What exactly do you do at the office to get nominated for a pride award? What a way to earn a free trip!!! Next time, take me instead of X. lol
Your new blog burns my eyes.
Congrats!
I noticed on your previous blog that you were greatful for the Office so when I read about you earning your award I hoped it was great as if you had earned the Dundee award. That show is HILARIOUS! Congrats!
