My Thankful List

At this Thanksgiving time, we all find ourselves being thankful for those things around us. As most people, I feel that my life is very blessed, which I owe all to my Heavenly Father. So I felt it was appropriate to make a thankful list.

Disclaimer: this is not a comprehensive list. If it was, it would go on and on and you would get a headache from staring at the screen for so long!

I am thankful for:
  • my loving (and understanding) husband who makes me laugh!
  • my kind parents who let us live with them for so long
  • my siblings who live so close to us
  • my family that lives so far from us
  • technology that helps us keep in touch with our far-away family
  • warm bubble baths
  • my discovery of Milo, a New Zealand hot drink that I have everyday!
  • my good job
  • X's opportunity to get a good education (and at a good price)
  • my physical therapist who helped me with my back
  • my forever friends who still keep in touch with me
  • nutritous food that is everywhere for us to buy
  • yummy food that makes me happy
  • my new walking group
  • my book club who makes me read books I never would have liked otherwise
  • X's green card that let's him live here legally
  • the local libraries that still rent to me even though I always bring the books back late
  • hot running water and a sewage system =)
  • so many of my old friends that live here in Dallas and still hang out with me (even though I don't have any babies of my own)
  • our really cool ward
  • my glasses that let me stare at the computer for hours
  • my husband's cool accent
  • happy babies all around me for me to play with (with 1 on the way - Go Kristy!)
  • airplanes so that we can travel and visit friends and family
  • my two sets of the best grandparents ever
  • my extended family
  • the Dallas temple that is so close
  • MoTab music because it's so pretty and a welcome respite from the radio.
  • The Office TV show because it really makes me laugh
  • the fall colors that Dallas finally experienced this year!
  • our two functioning cars that get us to where we need to be
  • our new house being built right now
  • my fruit pizza recipe that is so good
  • and saving the best for the end...I am so thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and for the knowledge that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me!

The Office is the greatest show ever. This last one made me laugh so dang hard "Come with me...I'll show you where the slaves work"...I couldn't breathe! We need to get the DVDs from my dad and watch them all weekend long!
