A couple of week's ago we had to bid a final farewell to Grandma and Granddad as they headed back to New Zealand. As much as X and I miss them, I believe Graydon is the chief sufferer, as he fell in love with them. He misses his playmates! We have gotten more snow this year than any other! This past weekend we got DUMPED on! I measured seven inches of snow on our backyard table. I've never seen so much in Texas. It was beautiful and we loved looking at it (from our window). Graydon loves the snow, from inside. Up close and personal, he was a little weary of it and didn't want to touch it. Next winter we'll introduce him to snowmen.

I know seven inches is nothing compared to other parts of the country, but it's a tons for here! DFW airport reported over 12 inches! That's my ruler sticking in the snow!
X, in his typical cold weather attire. I wish I had his fortitude!

And last night we had Graydon's official first haircut! I have trimmed his hair many times, but it was time for a real cut. On Sunday when I combed his hair it was a real comb-over, just like the old men have where the hair goes all the way down the other side of the head! Look at the shagginess!

Our friend Emily Thurgood came over to do it. He did really good, but didn't really like it. He kept saying "oowie" when Emily would take a snip. How did he know to say "oowie?" We got a a kick out of that.

graydon you are a stud! we love you
What a little cutie pie! It's so not fair that you guys got that much snow! Here in UT, it's been an extremely mild winter and there is currently no snow in the valley or even up on the foothills.
Thanks for the Photos etc Em, we got them yesterday. Give him a big hug from us.
You can borrow my little man, if you I can borrow yours! He is just adorable. Love the pictures of the snow...crazy. Glad you documented it.
