Halloween!!

Halloween was SO MUCH FUN! While Graydon still didn't "get" it, he sure did understand that he was meant to have fun! And Fun he had!

We did a family theme for our costumes this year...a little unorthodox maybe, but Graydon was an old fashioned golfer, I was the golf course (because he walks all over me), and X was the caddie.

I made Graydon a golf club out of fabric and stuffed it so that he wouldn't hurt anything when he inevitably whacked things. What was the first thing he did with it? Twisted it around in several circles...yah, that wasn't the point!

This cute little golfer set, borrowered from the Spanglers, made the outfit complete. He was so cute and just took right to it. He would pull it right behind him just like a real golfer, running all over the place.

Our family picture turned out horribly, and I already have my costume packed away. But I was proud of my little golf course, complete with a hole in one and sand and water hazard. I'll have to pull it out and take a picture of it. If you're wondering why X looks like that, professional golf caddies were a full white coverall outfit.
This is what I saw most of the night...him vrooming off down the sidewalk! Check out the sucker in hand!
He didn't really understand the whole trick-or-treat thing, but he LOVED running from house to house and looking at all the doggies in people's houses. He didn't understan why you had to leave as soon as you got there!

Earlier in the day we had our church's Trunk-or Treat activity, which, as the Activities Chairman, I get the pleasure of planning and carrying out. It turned out great, but not without the necessary stressing on my part. I'll have to get pictures to share. We had chili and carnival games and then had our trunk-or-treat, with lots of candy!

This Halloween made me even more excited for next year. I have such good memories of my Halloweens and I hope my kids will enjoy theirs too!

I love the costume! My kids did the same thing on their first couple of Halloweens, sucker in hand, racing from house to house! I love the golf club you made, to protect others!
