'Tis the Season to be Running

I have had some fun running the last few weeks with some great people! X, Chris, Graydon and I ran the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. We got up super early and rode the DART Rail downtown with about 1 million other people. Supposedly about 35,000 ran in the race and it was crazy! After the gun signaled the beginning of the race, it took us about 15 minutes to make it to the starting line because of all the people!

X and Graydon ran together and Baby G looked so comfy the whole time. Chris and X were nice enough to run with me, while my sinus infection and I were trying to keep up with them the whole 8 miles! It was fun and felt like an accomplishment! Turkey dinner was well deserved!

Last weekend I ran the 5k Reindeer Run with Stephanie Nguyen and Maggie Kerr. These ladies were fabulous as they had barely been running beforehand (add laryngitis on to Stephanie's run too). I was proud to run with them!

Now the last few days have been way too cold to run outside. Brrr! I hope it warms up enough to hit the pavement again soon!

I miss running ... I can't wait to get back into some sort of shape, lol.

Emily! That's awesome. 8 miles, no way! I would have dropped dead after mile #2.

Look at you! I'm so impressed. I have been running indoors for awhile now and I MISS BEING OUTSIDE!!! But it is SO cold. Sounds like some fun running. Are you going to do a 1/2 or a marathon? You're just about there!
