122 Days Old

So I knew I was tired, but I didn't know I was THAT tired. Graydon is 122 days (actually 130 days as of now) not 99 days like I originally put. And it took a pregnant lady to figure it out for me. Thanks Janette! I'm embarrassed.

Original Post:
Today Graydon is 99 days old. That doesn't seem like enough days for this little guy's life so far (or really, for all that mommy and daddy have done since he arrived!). I'm following tradition here and not actually posting on his 4 month birthday. Details schmetails!

Today we had his official 4 month appointment and the little guy is still a little guy. For those interested in stats he weighs 13 lbs 9.7 ozs (20%) and he is 24.25 inches (20%). We figure his size is due to a combination of his chronic spitting up, his caloric-burning activity, and a mom and dad who aren't known to be giants. He's perfect as he is, so it's not a prob. We're just surprised since X was such a big baby!

The doctor even made mention that Graydon is a very curious and active baby! He never stops moving, looking, and doing! I know that I have such an interesting (a nice way of saying "crazy") adventure ahead of me as he gets older! This kid doesn't ever rest! Like father, like son.

Here are some pictures. Look at how he's grown!
1 Week

2 Months

4 Months!

He discovered his feet last week and now it occupies him for a while, thank goodness! (Thanks for the cute shirt MJ!)

Graydon has started this really odd habit of wanting to hang upside down off of our laps. At first I wasn't sure he was doing it on purpose, but he is! He arches his back and pushes back if you try to pull him up. Crazy guy! Surprisingly enough, he has only spit up once while doing this, so we don't fight it!

He loves to wrestle now and it's so much fun! He has the biggest smile on his face when we do it (except for when the camera comes out, of course). The only thing we are missing is the giggle...he hasn't really laughed yet. We find it odd since he smiles so much, but oh well.

I love this pose! He was trying to find mama and he followed my voice. I've got a follower!

So, we really didn't want to start cereal this early, but we caved because he was just acting like he was ready. And Graydon loves it! He just wasn't really nursing well anymore, so we've added 2 cereal feeds and are still breastfeeding. It's really helped him and mama out and he seems to be much happier with his feeding routine now. Yay! We're going to wait for other foods until after NZ.

So, the summary is: we still love the guy like crazy and we're keeping him!

Dude, I'll never get over his scrumptuous cheeks!!! SO CUTE!

But, maybe it's cause I'm pregnant, it seems like he's older than 99 days ... closer to 120? Maybe not.

I love his hanging technique ... he's turning into a monkey early ... you're in trouble!!! lol.

Glad you've decided to keep him. If you ever change your mind, we'll take him! He just gets cuter and cuter. Isn't it fun when they start to do things on their own?

CUTE! I wanna hug and squeeze him. You know me, I can't keep my hands off babies! I love that lap hanging thing. Isn't it amazing how they already have opinions and preferences?

What a cutie! It's amazing how much he's grown. They just keep growing faster and faster as time goes on, too. Enjoy it!
