So anyway, X was very excited to get the hand-me-down lawn mower all fired up (which I might add would only start if I was watching. X was trying for 10 minutes with nothing but a sputtering engine. I show up and it revs into life! From then on all it took was one wimpy pull on the cord from me and it was cruising down the yard! ha ha!) From X's picture everything looks normal, right?
Now look at my picture. I wasn't wearing that beautiful get-up because it was fashionable! It was freezing -- literally (I just have a husband who doesn't have cold receptors in his body!)
We mowed the lawn for the first time while it was snowing at our house for the first time. I know you can't see the snowflakes, but they were really there! Easter weekend and it was snowing in Texas. Mowing your lawn and it was snowing. Both very, very odd.p.s. don't you love how nerdy we are to take pictures of us mowing the lawn!!

I love your lawn mowing pictures, guys! Very cute. You have a good size back yard too. That's awesome. Cliff and I have been looking at grass seed to fill in a little in the front yard and to make a small spot of grass in the back yard. Who knew buying grass could be so complicated! I'm glad you have a full grown one already. Hope you had a great Easter :)
I can't believe how cold it still is there, and that it was snowing! I only remember it snowing a handful of times while I lived there. It seems like it's snowed a lot there this winter. Crazy.
Y'all are total nerds to take pictures....totally something that I would do!! We are all the best of nerds....however, Gary is saying that first I would have to get behind a lawn mower...he makes an excellent point. Okay, IF (and that's a big IF) I got behind a lawn mower, I'm thinking Gary would totally take a picture......it's the only way it would last. lol. Your grass looks really green!! Just wait until next year when it still stays brown :(. lol. Nice work....not bad for a New Zaylander.
It's exciting to mow your very own lawn for the first time. I'm sure we'll snap a couple of those pics someday. Heard about the snow. That's absolutely wild. Hope you made you're very first snow angel in your yard and snapped a pic of that too.
Yahoo! Look at you two working hard! I had to laugh when I saw you bundled up and X in shorts because it is exactly the same in our family...I am ALWAYS cold and Matt is always hot. Maybe it's the internationalness of the two of them!
