Having a Marmitey Good Time!

I'm sure most of you have heard of either vegemite or marmite. It's a yeast spread from Down Under. Vegemite is from Australia and marmite is from New Zealand. It's very dark in color, very strong tasting and smelling, and very salty. If you haven't grown up on it, than it's sometimes not the best tasting thing. I've gotten accustomed to it and like it from time to time.

Now, my nephew Ethan, who's two, absolutely LOVES it. It proves that if you grow up on it, you can eat just about anything. At first, my mom didn't know that X was okay with Ethan dipping into the marmite jar, so she tried to deter him by calling it "X's Yucky." Now when he comes over, he'll sometimes ask for X's Yucky. I took a picture of him getting ready to lick the marmite straight off the piece of bread...a very bold thing to do! This is Ethan's way of partaking of his Uncle X's homeland. I love his little marmite-covered face!

I'm also throwing in a cute picture of Nora's messy face for good measure! She's not old enough for marmite yet, but she did just as good a job of making a mess of her cute chubby cheeks by gnawing on her "Biter Biscuits." I love her curly 'fro!
